Congrats. I'm currently reading a book of Barthelme's short stories (in the bathroom), and this seems to strike me in the same place (no bathroom sarcasm intended). Having read at least a draft of this before, I think that says something about the strength of your style, how it doesn't stale. Also, love the picture.
