Pop songs still sound like miracles to Brian Sendrowitz and his music project, Beat Radio. Hailing from Bellemore, New York, Sendrowitz continues his mission of spreading the word about his music as far as he possibly can.

Being that I discovered Beat Radio’s album, “Safe Inside the Sound” through a friend thousands of miles away on the west coast, I’d say Sendrowitz’s efforts of spreading the word have certainly paid off.

The band describes their tunes as “flea market pop,” “arena rock for mystics,” and even, “ramshackle electro.” Simply put, their music can be classified as indie pop rock. But with influences like The Replacements, Red House Painters, The Weakerthans, Bob Dylan, and Van Morrison, Beat Radio has put a timeless trim on their popular genre.

This past summer, the band initiated a Kickstarter campaign to fundraise for the vinyl-pressing of their third full-length album, “Golden Age.” Finishing beyond their intended goal, Beat Radio is scheduled to release “Golden Age”  early this December. The record, pressed on 12” gold vinyl, includes ten songs from the bands 2010 singles collection and will be released through Sendrowitz’s own record label, Awkward For Life. “Golden Age” can be pre-ordered both on Beat Radio’s Bandcamp page as well as Awkward For Life’s tumblr page.

Several of Beat Radio’s previous albums and EPs are also available for preview and purchase on the band’s Bandcamp page. (Some tracks are even available for free digital download.) The band also has contributed several tracks to the trailer of Doug: The Movie, a video that has recently gone viral on several social networking sites.
